The Rise of Tukimango

Born from a vision of support and growth, Tukimango emerged to educate children, empower women, widows, and single parents, fostering resilience and building brighter futures for communities in need.

In the year 2000, the founder of Tukimango encountered a young boy at Ojota Bus Stop in Lagos selling sachet water—when he should have been in school. That moment sparked a powerful realization: children can’t grow into tomorrow’s leaders unless they are given the chance to learn and thrive. What began as an effort to create an evening school for underprivileged kids soon evolved. Several initiatives were pursued, from Christian magazines to a website highlighting Lagos markets. After facing setbacks and challenges, the focus of the mission sharpened: to uplift indigent students, particularly those from the families of widows and single parents for sustainability impact. This was the birth of Tukimango, a foundation rooted in the belief that every child and parent deserves the support to succeed.
